Breast Surgery Locum Tenens Job in Alabama Starting Late August + Ongoing Jackson and Coker is partnered with a health system located in south central Alabama that is seeking a Breast Surgeon (or two) to assist with Monday - Friday clinic + procedure coverage starting in late August & and ongoing. Willing to work with up to two Surgeons in order to fill their full-time, weekday coverage need. Coverage need: Seeking Monday - Friday clinic and scheduled procedure coverage Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm on Monday - Thursday + 7:30am - 3pm on Friday Shared attached patient call (shared rotation with 1 additional Breast Surgeon) NPs/PAs take 1st call and will consult Surgeon as needed NO ED call coverage Specific shifts needing coverage: Friday, 8/22 at 7AM - Sunday, 8/31 at 7AM Friday, 9/12 at 7AM - Sunday, 10/12 at 7AM Monday, 10/27 at 7AM - Tuesday, 11/11 at 7AM Sunday, 12/14 at 7AM - Monday, 12/29 at 7AM Details/Requirements for this Opportunity : Active + unrestricted Alabama medical license & CSR required (can consider candidates with an active IMLC) Breast Surgery Fellowship training required Must be actively Board Certified (in General Surgery, Surgical Oncology) Will work in the clinic setting & have scheduled procedure days (both ASC & hospital based outpatient surgery center) Will work alongside of another Breast Surgeon who recently completed their fellowship training (will mentor as needed) Will do an average of 2-6 procedures per surgery day (volume depends on the type of surgical cases scheduled) Some procedures will require breast reconstruction/plastic surgery Will see between 18-25 patients per day (with the support of mid-levels) in the clinic Will not be required to do any ED coverage however, will
