Cost Accounting Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Cost Accounting Manager
to support an expanding organization and help drive financial visibility across long-term projects. This role will work closely with the Controller and CFO as a key partner to operational leaders. You will lead financial reviews with Project Managers, support monthly forecasting, and ensure accurate job cost accounting. As the company continues to scale, this role will also play an important part in team leadership, AP oversight, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead financial reviews with Project Managers to monitor job performance, cost variances, and forecasting • Support monthly P&L forecasting for multi-year construction projects • Manage and mentor AP staff and job costing team members • Ensure timely and accurate financial data flow into the ERP system • Support yearly budgeting and planning cycles • Partner with leadership to strengthen internal controls and streamline processes
Required Qualifications
• 5-15 years of progressive accounting experience • Strong background in
construction cost accounting
or
manufacturing job costing • Experience working with operational leaders • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Advanced Excel skills • Strong analytical skills and ability to dig into financial performance
