Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper
The Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper plays a vital role in maintaining accurate, compliant, and timely financial records across multiple business entities. This position requires a disciplined, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting Functions
Maintain accurate general ledgers, financial statements, and supporting schedules for multiple entities.
Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing entries.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Track intercompany transactions and reconcile entity balances.
Support financial audits, tax preparation, and external reporting requirements.
Payroll & Compliance
Process payroll and maintain payroll records in accordance with state and federal laws.
Manage employee reimbursements, benefits tracking, and related journal entries.
File state and local business taxes, excise reports, and annual renewals.
Financial Reporting & Support
Prepare financial reports for leadership review, including budget-to-actual and variance analysis.
Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and expense management processes.
Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies in accounting systems and workflows.
Systems & Coordination
Utilize QuickBooks Online for all company entities.
Collaborate with operations and project managers to ensure accurate job cost tracking.
Work closely with the leadership team to provide clear financial insights that inform decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in a multi‑entity or project‑based environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required); experience with Google Workspace.
Knowledge of GAAP and best practices for small to mid‑sized businesses.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$70,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Monthly medical insurance contribution
Paid holidays and PTO, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas (2 days)
Paid Time Off (PTO): Starting at two weeks, and three weeks starting the third year of employment. In the event of employment termination, unused PTO will be paid out at a maximum of 2 weeks.
Performance‑based bonus eligibility after one year of employment
Flexible work hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
