Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Engineer to join our team onsite in Herndon, VA or Reston, VA to support the development and subsequent sustainment of our Cloud environments and Modern Data Platform. You will be part of a greater team to manage, maintain, and optimize our Cloud infrastructure in support of a high-priority mission at one of our National Intelligence Customers. In this role, you will focus on reliability, performance, and security as part of the day-to-day execution of tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design & Deploy: Architect and deploy scalable and secure solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Automation & Optimization: Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible to automate Cloud provisioning Networking & Security: Configure VCNs, subnets, load balancers, and security lists for cloud applications Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Use monitoring tools to optimize Cloud resources and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design backup, replication, and failover strategies for critical workloads Cloud Cost Optimization: Monitor resource utilization and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize OCI spending Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with industry security standards (NIST 800-53) and implement best practices for IAM policies and access controls Minimum qualifications: 1+ years of hands-on experience with a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR additional equivalent work experience Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, chef, puppet, Ansible) and with Agile methodology Experience with configuration management with code repositories, such as Github, and in administration within DevOps and CI/CD pipelines Experience managing resources, tenancy limits, and quotas Experience with Cloud networking and troubleshooting performance technical issues across Cloud architecture Familiar with data security protocols and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Splunk Preferred qualifications: RedHat Linux Administration certification Oracle Cloud Certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional) Experience with other Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and hybrid Cloud solutions Clearance requirements: Must have active TS/SCI with Polygraph Physical requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
