Organization : Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital Department : OHMG SRH RIVERSIDE PULM & IM Status : Full Time Shift : Days Schedule : Mon - Fri Title : ARNP, PAC, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, APP, Advanced Practice Provider Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital is a comprehensive 178-bed acute-care facility located in Sebastian, Florida. A major hospital expansion in 2020 added 48 private patient rooms and enhanced surgical capabilities with additional operating suites and procedure rooms, new preoperative and postoperative patient bays, and the latest advanced surgical technology. The hospital has earned Advanced Primary Stroke Center accreditation from The Joint Commission. The hospital is also accredited as a Bariatric Surgery Comprehensive Center by MBSAQIP. Essential Functions Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by interview, health history, physical examination, diagnostic studies and recognizes deviations from the normal. Develops a diagnosis and works with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement the treatment plan. Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed. Diagnoses medical and surgical problems and prescribes necessary treatment and services for quality patient care. Implements appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessments, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission, and discharge care in accordance with evidence-based medicine. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves patient care issues to improve patient care and outcomes. Dictates and documents in an accurate and timely manner. Provides patient education and maintains provision of preventive health services. Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and on-call rotations and/or weekend/holiday rounding as required. Prescribes medications. Participates in quality initiatives to ensure attainment of key quality indicators. Supports IRB-approved clinical research/trials through various activities per trial protocols. Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Acts as a role model and resource for staff. Assists in teaching students, residents and interns in complex techniques and procedures. Participates in policy and procedure review and revision. Establishes relationships with professional and health-related groups within the community. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and families. Qualifications
Education/Training Nurse Practitioner: MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing. Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited physician assistant program. Licensure/Certification Nurse Practitioner: APRN license in the state of Florida. National certification from an approved nursing specialty board. Current BLS certification. Physician Assistant: Current FL physician assistant licensure and BLS/Healthcare certification. Experience Experienced provider preferred.
