Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team! This individual will help set up and prepare the banquet room for functions, serve and bus tables, and clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the event. This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world‑class property.
What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and putting out table centerpieces; serve food and clear it from the tables; break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen, and vacuuming; clean the back hall and organize storerooms; set up AM or PM break stations; assist with event room setup; perform food & beverage prep duties; provide general property information; interact with staff professionally; ensure final quality checks; monitor tables for satisfaction; address guest issues; maintain safety awareness.
Your Role
Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and putting out table centerpieces.
Service to include picking up food from back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing food from the tables.
Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
Cleaning of the back hall and organizing of storerooms.
Set up for AM or PM break stations that include coffee, tea, snacks, beverages, etc.
Assist as needed with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
Perform food & beverage preparation duties, such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
Serve food and beverages to guests; remove dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables/countertops and take them to the kitchen.
Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and seats after guests are finished.
Explain how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods, and ingredients.
Take into consideration any special request and dietary issues made by the guest.
Provide general property information; offer a warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests.
Interact with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
Ensure final quality checks on food and beverage items prior to serving guests.
Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service.
Address any guest issue promptly and with high concern.
Provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed.
Maintain awareness of safety issues, such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons.
What are we looking for?
2–4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet service.
Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star venue with synchronized service.
Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
Excellent communication skills.
Compensation Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
