Do you have what it takes to work in a highly complex environment? We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator, based in Fairburn, GA to produce and coordinate the operations at the facility. You will be responsible for improving safety performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon team!
About The Role This Safety Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and administration of workplace safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The position assists in monitoring and improving safety performance, conducting inspections and investigations, and promoting a culture of safety across all departments.
The Safety Coordinator works closely with management and employees to identify hazards, prevent incidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
Support the investigation of workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
Maintain and update safety records, training documentation, and compliance reports.
Coordinate and deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks to employees.
Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Participate in the development and review of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives and serve as a point of contact for safety-related concerns.
Monitor and maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and PPE inventories.
Support emergency response planning, drills, and first aid coordination.
Collaborate with supervisors and managers to reinforce a strong safety culture throughout operations.
Education & Experience Requirements
2–4 years of experience in occupational safety, EHS, or a related role within manufacturing, logistics, or construction.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credentials are a plus.
Strong communication, observation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management systems or EHS software.
