Position Summary Occident Wealth Management and Secure the Bag seeks a Social Media Manager to serve as our content creation lead, grow our social media presence across our social media channels. You’ll help drive awareness, engagement, and growth for our financial literacy mission, NIL content, collegiate/NFL speaking engagement, and the STB Podcast.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow our presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.

Draft captions, schedule posts, and upload real‑time content from events and podcast clips.

Repurpose educational content into bite‑sized, high‑impact visuals and videos.

Coordinate social strategy around athlete appearances, STB sessions, and brand partnerships.

Lead marketing campaigns and keep content relevant to trends in NIL, sports culture, and financial literacy.

Track performance metrics and recommend adjustments to optimize engagement.

Produce the Secure the Bag Podcast, interviewing professional athletes.

Qualifications

Experience working in collegiate and/or professional athletics, digital, or social media space.

Mastery of the major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Proven experience working with athletes, collegiate or professional sports programs, or NIL brands.

Strong writing and storytelling skills – especially for short‑form content and captions.

Knowledge of social media analytics software, including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics.

Minimum 1 year experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Instagram Reels editor, Buffer/Later, or similar.

Knowledge of photography or design management is a plus.

Experience in the sports, digital, or social space is a significant advantage.

Bachelor’s degree, or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, or a related field of study.

Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.

Outgoing, organized, efficient, a team player, resourceful, creative, and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

Experience in podcast promotion or short‑form video editing.

Skills in photography/videography at live events.

Understanding of the financial literacy or wealth‑building space.
