Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence to join our dynamic team. As a BI Analyst, you will be responsible for managing projects, supporting and troubleshooting internal customer/reporting tools, and developing/executing reports based on user requirements. You will play a crucial role in enhancing data-driven decision-making processes within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage projects related to business intelligence and reporting tools.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Lead daily standup with BI developers & outside consultants.
Lead quarterly SMEs meetings to receive insight and recommendations on current and future tools.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal teams and planning tools.
Investigate and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, report performance, and user queries.
Collaborate with IT and other teams to implement solutions and enhancements.
Report Development and Execution:
Design, develop, and/or maintain reports and dashboards based on business user requirements.
Utilize BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, QlikView) to create visualizations that effectively communicate insights.
Optimize queries and data structures to improve report performance and data accuracy.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
Interpret data and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Continuously improve data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing processes.
Documentation and Training:
Document technical specifications, data mappings, and report definitions.
Develop training materials and provide training/guidance to users on report usage and best practices.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Proven experience (3+ years) in retail planning and/or business intelligence.
Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or BI Cubes.
Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Experience in the retail industry with strong understanding of retail math is a plus.
