Paraeducator / 28.75 Hour / Doolittle Elementary School
Cheshire Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator to support students during whole and small group instruction as well as working with individual children throughout the day. The role includes supervising lunch and recess and accompanying students to specials such as art and music. The Paraeducator will perform additional tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
Responsibilities
Support whole, small group, and individual instruction.
Supervise lunch and recess periods.
Accompany students to specials (art, music).
Perform additional classroom‑assistance tasks as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Experience working with young children.
Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (desirable).
Work Hours 28.75 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM.
Supervisor School principal.
Salary In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides. $18.00 per hour.
