Our banking client in Southlake is seeking a dynamic, service-driven Relationship Banker to join their retail banking team on a

contract-to-hire

basis. This role focuses entirely on relationship management and customer engagement, as teller transactions are handled through the branch’s automated teller system.

The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional in-branch and phone-based service while proactively building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This individual will engage clients to identify financial needs, offer tailored solutions, and support the overall growth and success of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing personalized assistance and financial guidance.

Open new consumer and small business accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.

Proactively uncover customer needs through in-person and phone conversations, recommending appropriate banking products and services.

Conduct outbound calls to existing clients to strengthen relationships, check in on satisfaction, and introduce relevant financial solutions.

Maintain a deep understanding of the bank’s products, digital tools, and services to effectively assist customers and support retention.

Educate customers on bank offerings including checking, savings, lending, digital banking, and small business solutions.

Support branch operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.

Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the bank’s presence and drive new customer acquisition.

Deliver an exceptional, customer-first experience in every interaction, both in person and by phone.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in retail banking, customer relationship management, or financial services.

Strong knowledge of consumer and small business banking products and services.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Proven ability to identify customer needs and match them with effective financial solutions.

Confident phone presence and experience in outbound relationship-building calls.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer systems; Salesforce or CRM experience preferred.

Understanding of legal entity documentation and banking compliance processes a plus.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.

Team-oriented and proactive, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
