Senior Claims Representative - Rideshare Commercial Claims Auto Physical Damage Adjuster Liberty Mutual Insurance

Base pay range : $45,000.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Description At Liberty, you’ll thrive in a hybrid setting that fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth. This role is part of a fast‑growing commercial insurance claims team. As a Commercial Insurance Claims Representative, you will review and process simple and straightforward commercial claims within assigned authority limits, consistent with policy and legal requirements. Training and insurance education are paid by Liberty Mutual.

Office Requirements You will be required to work in the office twice a month if you reside within 50 miles of one of the following locations: Boston, MA; Westborough, MA; Hoffman Estates, IL; Weatogue, CT; Indianapolis, IN; Plano, TX; Suwanee, GA; Lake Oswego, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Chandler, AZ. (Policy may change.)

Responsibilities

Investigates claim using internal and external resources including speaking with the insured or other involved parties, analyzing reports, researching past claim activity, and utilizing evaluation tools to assess damage and loss.

Maintains extensive and timely direct interaction with Insureds, Claimants, Agents, and internal customers.

Determines policy coverage through analysis of investigation data and policy terms, notifying agent and insured of coverage or any issues.

Establishes claim reserve requirements and makes adjustments during the processing of the claims.

Determines and negotiates settlement amount for damages claimed within assigned authority limits.

Writes simple to moderately complex property damage estimates or reviews auto damage estimates.

Takes statements when necessary and works with the Field Appraisal, Subrogation, and Special Investigative Unit (SIU) as appropriate.

Maintains accurate and current claim file/damage documentation and diaries throughout the life cycle of claim cases.

Alerts Unit Leader to the possibility of fraud or subrogation potential for claims being processed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

1–2 years of experience; claims handling skills preferred.

Strong customer service and technology skills.

Ability to navigate multiple systems; strong organizational and communication skills.

License may be required in multiple states by state law.
