Criminal Defense and Military Law Firm Seeking an Experienced Paralegal
Do you want to fight for people when the government is bullying them? We are a growing law firm on track for continued expansion. We seek an experienced paralegal to join our team to work directly with the owner and attorneys. You will support the team and help clients. We are known for helping clients preserve their reputation and protect their future. This is a full-time job where you are expected to manage a caseload, so you must be able to work in the office for 40 hours per week. Our team collaborates to take seemingly impossible situations and find solutions that save lives. We also take the time to have fun and celebrate our success. We need a paralegal with experience in criminal defense at the state and federal levels. Experience in the military criminal justice system is a plus. You like to take the initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with autonomy. Competitive compensation and benefits package available. Salary range DOE: $42,000 - $54,000 yearly.
Responsibilities
Manage case administration from start to finish.
Communicate with clients regarding updates and case status.
Manage and organize discovery.
Draft and prepare motions and legal documents for filing.
Assist with trial preparation.
Research legal topics and issues.
Qualifications
3+ years of legal experience in criminal defense.
Keep everyone on schedule with a high degree of attention to detail.
Empathetic and believe that everyone deserves the very best legal representation.
Very good with Microsoft Office and other law office applications.
Can juggle tasks well and change gears quickly.
Team player and enjoys people.
Compensation Salary: $42,000 - $54,000 per year
