About Windstar on Naples Bay
We are a member‑owned private club located on Naples Bay, 5 minutes from 5th Ave in downtown Naples. We have 350 full golf members with a wait list and 250 social members. The clubhouse is two stories, 40,000 sf in a non‑bundled gated community. Amenities include 18 holes Tom Fazio golf course, pro shop, bayside practice facilities, fitness/wellness, tennis, two a la carte restaurants, a robust calendar of events, and private wine lockers. The community features 72 slip deep water marina, and a private beach on Keewaydin Island with a 40 passenger pontoon shuttle for transport. In addition to golf, tennis and wellness, the highly participatory members enjoy a variety of superlative dining options, in multiple venues. The clubhouse was renovated in 2023 to reflect the coastal lifestyle. The Food & Beverage revenues exceed $2.4M, derived from a la carte dining, private member parties and member‑sponsored banquets.
Job Summary Windstar on Naples Bay is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to assist in casual à la carte dining, fine dining, and special events. This is a hands‑on, leadership‑driven role within a seasonal, multi‑outlet country club kitchen that values excellence, efficiency, and creativity. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to support day‑to‑day operations, uphold culinary standards, and help mentor a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
Rotate between different kitchen stations and outlets depending on operational needs.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
Train and supervise staff in the proper preparation of menu items.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients, innovative dishes, and member preferences.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotations of food products so as to comply with health department regulations.
Assist in the management of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Cooks, Stewards.
Report all member/guest complaints to the Chef and assist in resolving complaints.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety regulations in all kitchen areas.
Continuously ensure all procedures, recipes, and guidelines are followed.
Communicate effectively with culinary management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a Country Club or fine dining setting.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training preferred.
Must possess a professional work ethic and will collaborate professionally between the front and back of the house.
Ability to lead an area or kitchen team during assigned shifts, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely service.

Strong adaptability and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent time management and ability to work well under pressure.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
