We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Security Engineer to join a high-performing team dedicated to advancing our Data Protection Program. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining data security solutions that safeguard the organization's most sensitive information. We are looking for a methodical thinker with hands-on experience in data security, risk management, compliance, and technology best practices. You will collaborate closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify potential risks, close security gaps, and implement forward-thinking solutions that align with industry standards. Responsibilities include: Develop and implement data security protocols to protect sensitive information across the organization. Design security strategies and solutions tailored to evolving threats and be able to present the same matching business needs at both executive and engineering levels. Fostering a partnered and service minded approach, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align data protection efforts with business objectives. Analyze data protection risks across data-at-rest, data-in-use and data-in-transit layers, design sustainable mitigation strategies. Lead engineering, automation, and support for LPL's enterprise file scanning platform. Evaluate and implement security controls for structured and unstructured cloud storage solutions and SMB/NAS/SAN storage solutions on-premises. Apply deep expertise in cloud-native data security, including access controls, configurations, and audit logging. Ensure compliance with data security standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks. Conduct security assessments and risk analyses; recommend and implement remediation plans. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders. Enforce data governance policies and ensure proper handling of sensitive data in line with legal and regulatory standards. Monitor and maintain data integrity and accuracy across reporting and analytics platforms. What are we looking for? A strong foundation in data security, architecture, and engineering. Requirements include: 3+ years' experience with Enterprise data tokenization tools like (OpenText, Thales, Protegrity) 2+ years of experience Data Security Posture Management/data classification products and tools like (BigID, Wiz, Varonis) 3+ years' experience with Scripting and Automation tools like (Terraform, Curl, Python, PowerShell) 7+ years of experience in data security, risk management, or a related field with knowledge in Zero trust principles and other data security regulations 10+ years' experience collaborating with technical team members, business analysts, and project/program managers to ensure a quality solution is delivered. Preferences include: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Experience with other technology tools including Microsoft Office products, Visio/lucid, Jira, Confluence, Service Now and SharePoint Experience with one or more Enterprise products & tools such as OPSWAT, VirusTotal, CrowdStrike for malware/virus detection and remediation, SIEM tools such as Splunk, ELK, and health monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds Working knowledge and understanding of TLS Certificates and Certificate Management products and tools like (Venafi, DigiCert, Microsoft CA) Outstanding documentation and presentation skills, combined with knowledge and ability with creating data flow diagrams and solutions architecture. Pay Range: $118,988-$198,313/year. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
