Elastic Stack Engineer/Developer (TS/SCI with Poly Required)
Join GCI Incorporated as an Elastic Stack Engineer/Developer. As a platform builder, you will design, develop, configure, and maintain Elasticsearch clusters and support teams around the Elastic ecosystem. You will work in an Agile environment, driving continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy Elasticsearch clusters and architecture to support large data ingest, processing, and retrieval. Work with automation tools for a robust CI/CD pipeline, including Git, Ansible, and Kubernetes. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing Elastic systems. Guide engineering teams on best practices for indexing, re?indexing, and developing with an Elastic backend. Write and update technical documentation for system components and data interactions. Collaborate cross?functionally with systems engineers, software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and project managers. Troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for software systems.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline. At least five (5) years of related Elasticsearch experience. Experience troubleshooting Elasticsearch cluster and query performance issues, including query optimization and log tracing. Hands?on experience building and deploying Elastic Stack infrastructure. Hands?on experience with software design for Elasticsearch deployments and distributed computing architecture. Hands?on experience with Linux?based systems, bash scripting, and command line. Hands?on experience with build automation technologies like Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc. Hands?on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with monitoring technologies like ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana. Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
Desired Knowledge/Skills
Hands?on experience working with large SQL or NoSQL database clusters such as Elasticsearch. Experience designing data models, architecting data systems, and supporting large data platforms. Familiarity with ETL pipelines and interfacing with data stores and API endpoints. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automation tools.
Clearance Requirement
