Junior Underwriter – Up to $20,000 in Potential Incentives
Join United Wholesale Mortgage as a Junior Underwriter and help build our mortgage solutions.
Must‑Knows
8‑hour shift, Monday – Friday
100% full‑time, on‑site attendance in Pontiac, MI

What You Will Be Doing
Collect, review, and examine an applicant’s financial history and records.
Perform risk assessment reports.
Analyze client financial statements and identify effective alternatives to the application.
Maintain knowledge of and adhere to investor guidelines, state and federal underwriting lending policies and required documentation.
Keep up with changes and adaptations as they occur.
Provide elite service to internal and external clients.
Communicate with clients via email and phone on loan status, including Mortgage Loan Officers and Broker Owners.
Manage multiple priorities while building rapport with clients.
What We Need From You
Completed 2
or 4‑year college degree.
Strong rationale and problem‑solving skills.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other internet resources.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn and be coached.
Adaptable to a flexible, fast‑changing industry.
Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
Ability to take accountability for actions.
Preferred experience in Finance and/or Accounting (financial analysis, accounts receivable and accounts payable).
