Position Summary
The Enrollment Management Division at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSUDenver) brings together the functions of Admissions, Registrar, Testing Center, Orientation, and Financial Aid offices. Together we recruit, admit and support undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Duties / Responsibilities
Provides professional advising services to prospective and current students, families, and faculty on financial aid application process, eligibility, need analysis, award packaging, and disbursement.
Maintains thorough knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies; handles complex calculations, adjustments, and appeals.
Maintains confidentiality and data‑sharing compliance; builds relationships with graduate departments and participates in outreach events.
Assesses student financial circumstances and explains aid eligibility in clear terms; performs adjustments based on changes during the academic year.
Keeps up‑to‑date with regulations and internal procedures to ensure compliance; handles complex tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Supports Anti‑Racism efforts within the Office of Financial Aid and Enrollment Management Division.
Assists with project management and special office initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, verbal and written communication, time management, and human relations.
Proficiency with standard MS Office software.
Bachelor’s degree.
One year of higher education experience.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of financial aid and/or scholarship experience.
Knowledge of Banner or similar financial aid software.
Experience resolving data integrity issues within Banner.
Work Hours Full‑time, 40 hours per week, exempt. Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm with possible occasional late evenings or weekends. Hybrid schedule available.
Salary Range Anticipated salary between $47,300 and $52,000 based on internal equity, experience, education, and other factors. Minimum wage of $47,300 guaranteed.
