What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Review, analyze, and reconcile payroll costing data to ensure accurate labor allocation and general ledger postings
Maintain and update costing configurations in the payroll system (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, or equivalent)
Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to align payroll data with financial reporting and budgeting processes
Support payroll funding and journal entries by verifying account distributions and resolving discrepancies
Prepare regular reports and ad hoc analyses related to payroll costing, headcount, and labor expense trends
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
2–4 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or financial analysis; experience in payroll costing or allocations preferred
Experience with enterprise HR/payroll systems (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, ADP, or SAP)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, and data validation)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with Dayforce payroll costing or similar platform configuration
Familiarity with large, multi-state payroll environments
Exposure to auditing, SOX controls, or internal payroll compliance processes
