Job Title: Program Coordinator II (Federal & State Grants)

Job Description Under general supervision, the Program Coordinator II- Federal & State Grants will be responsible for administering and coordinating federal and state grant programs under the supervision of the Financial Aid Manager of Processing (FAMP). The salary is determined in accordance with the University's compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates' education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the Federal Grant Programs, troubleshoots financial aid processes related to eligibility, coordinates the importing and exporting of Federal Pell grant and TEACH grant records via the Banner system and COD, assists the FAMP with Banner system set-up for the federal and state grants component(s), resolves errors from import/export files, works with the business office to resolve federal and state grant exception reports, reviews and resolves disbursement discrepancies, conducts quality control on financial aid awards, and monitors Institutional Waivers & Exemptions and Hazelwood.
Works with the FAMP, provides leadership and guidance to departmental working groups, ensures consistency with laws, regulations, and policies, coordinates communication to outreach staff, assists with preparing reports for internal and external audits.
Creates, manages, and revises the policies and procedures manual for the student, state, and federal grant program(s), provides leadership for innovating processing methods, supports the FAMP in carrying out recommendations, serves as a backup to related coordinators, and trains staff on eligibility policies and procedures.
Coordinates and collaborates with advising staff on research, analysis activities, and reports regarding federal and state grant programs, ensures accurate communication to financial aid advisors, and provides support to the financial aid advising staff as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree.
Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
