Location: Harrisburg, PA Position Type: Hybrid Hybrid Schedule: 2 days onsite Contract Length: 8 months + extensions Position Overview: The ServiceNow Developer will design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow applications and integrations to support enterprise IT service management needs. This role involves collaborating with technical teams, process owners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions aligned with organizational requirements. Duties: Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications, custom modules, and system integrations. Customize core ITSM applications, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB. Build and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies/actions. Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server. Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define and refine functional requirements. Develop reports, dashboards, and performance analytics widgets. Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and ensure code quality and security compliance. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, and architectural design. Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprints to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats while working within a collaborative team environment. Required Skills: 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting best practices. Experience with ITSM and at least one additional module (e.g., ITOM, HRSD, SPM, Source2Pay). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification. Preferred Skills: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, HRSD, or Discovery. Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF). Exposure to ServiceNow App Engine and Flow Designer. Understanding of CMDB and Discovery. Knowledge of Employee Service Portal and custom widget development.
