Base pay range $14.19/hr - $16.92/hr

Summary The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization supporting 200 staff across 30 early childhood and out‑of‑school time programs. Responsibilities

Actively engage with children, assist with classroom cleaning and organization, and document child observations.

Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes.

Respond sensitively to individual children’s interests, requests, and needs; use positive child guidance strategies.

Plan and outline curriculum to meet individual needs using an emergent curriculum.

Establish and maintain program goals to ensure health and safety.

Monitor and evaluate program outcomes; respond to member needs and cultural diversity.

Use child observation notes for curriculum planning and maintain accurate records.

Account for all members by name and face.

Oversee implementation of NAEYC standards, GSQ (when applicable), Culture DNA code, BGCCNNH and CCLU rules and policies.

Administer medications per policy, provide first aid, and communicate incidents to families.

Assist in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom well‑being.

Oversee proper record‑keeping and weekly reporting; provide data for center directors.

Facilitate effective communication with families, staff, and children.

Supervise classroom staff, students, and volunteers; give regular performance feedback.

Support volunteers and practicum students through modeling techniques.

Lead planning meetings with the teaching team (as needed).

Promote program visibility through daily postings and social media.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate teacher qualified (high school diploma with minimum 9 credits) in child development or early childhood education from a regionally accredited college/university.

18 years old or older with a minimum of 1,500 hours in a licensed school‑age program.

Knowledge of current teaching methods, curriculum development, and application.

Ability to plan and implement quality programs with creative and artistic strategies.

Skill in forming developmentally appropriate relationships and promoting positive behavior.

Ability to motivate members and manage behavior with patience.

Organizational skills to supervise a safe environment.

Effective communication with staff, families, and community members.

Willingness to maintain a club dress code and adapt to different learning styles.

CPR and First Aid certifications per licensing requirements.

Ability to drive the club van/short bus periodically; must possess a safe driving record.

Assist in cleaning and organizing the club.

Maintain confidentiality.

Willingness to travel between locations as requested (occasional travel only).

Additional Expectations

Submit FBI fingerprint background check, State of NH Criminal Records Department check, and FirstAdvantage check.

Compliance with the State of NH Childcare Licensing Bureau; disqualifying findings may prohibit employment.

Zero‑tolerance policy for abuse; any mistreatment results in disciplinary action up to termination and cooperation with law enforcement.
