Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks Prepare well‑drafted pleadings, motions, and other legal documents associated with marital separation and family law litigation to represent clients effectively Advocate proficiently on behalf of clients in courtroom proceedings with professionalism and expertise, ensuring their interests are protected Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on our team to provide the highest level of compassionate client representation Assist clients in developing reasonable expectations Identify, resolve, and prevent legal issues for clients by being proactive and helping clients focus on their long‑term goals and objectives, ensuring they understand their options and the consequences of each choice they make Engage in mediation and negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable resolutions for clients Manage a caseload of 75-90 cases Accurately and promptly record time spent on hourly rate and flat‑fee cases Qualifications

Able to work independently while handling multiple files Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary Graduation from law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and at least 2 years of experience representing clients Well‑versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required Licensed North Carolina attorney in good standing with a minimum of two years of experience in family law Positive attitude and genuine desire to help people through very challenging life experiences, and a team player Desire to learn and grow and take on an ever‑increasing amount of responsibility Strong work ethic and initiative to complete tasks independently Ability to manage a caseload of 75-90 cases, bill 30 hours per week, and accurately record time in case management software Compensation

$75,000 - $120,000 yearly
