What You Will Do

Review student records to ensure degree requirements are met.

Create and process graduation applications in Banner, post degrees, and manage application adjustments.

Notify students and advisors of degree deficiencies.

Order diplomas and manage commencement eligibility.

Assist with DegreeWorks evaluations and adjustments.

Prepare correspondence, graduation statistics, and program materials.

Support commencement ceremonies with event preparation and logistics.

Use Perceptive Content for imaging and record maintenance.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Any one or combination totaling

three (3) years (36 months)

from the categories below:

A.

Course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)

60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)

90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)

120 semester hours or a Bachelor's degree equals three (3) years (36 months)

B.

Work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.

Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Banner information software (student module), Sharepoint, Perceptive Content document imaging software, Argos, E‑Print and VA Enrollment Manager. Detailed knowledge of University Academic policies and procedures, admission policy regarding reentry students, and Registrar's Office policies and procedures. Must have good mathematical and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to analyze situations as they relate to various academic policies and procedures. Must have good data entry skills.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver's License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.

F‑1 and J‑1 visa holders must be enrolled full‑time and can only apply for temporary part‑time roles working 20 hours or less per week during spring and fall semesters, such as student worker positions, assistantships, and civil service extra help roles.
