Job Title Frosh-Soph/JV Coach
Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques needed for the specific sport.
Demonstrate successful personality and character traits appropriate to educational leadership.
Organize practices and design an appropriate conditioning program with the varsity head coach and/or Athletic Director.
Manage and organize practices following all district guidelines and policies.
Communicate with parents, administrators, staff, and students.
Instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork in a diverse group of young athletes.
Help students balance a demanding academic workload with athletic commitment.
Work cohesively with all coaches within the sport program.
Follow the CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct and the BVAL policies and guidelines.
Follow district protocols regarding cash handling, and maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.
Qualifications
Playing experience in the specific sport at the high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional level.
Experience coaching youth leagues, middle school, or sports camps in the same sport, or equivalent experience.
Current state of California coaching certifications.
Annual mandated reporter training.
Must pass District Fingerprint clearance.
Professional references.
Valid CPR, First Aid, ASEP, SCA, Heat Illness Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, Integrated Pest Management, and Concussion certifications prior to employment.
