Edge Solution Architect
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an Edge Solution Architect within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Edge Solution Architect designs and implements distributed technology systems located closer to users or data sources to reduce latency and improve performance, often involving hardware, software, and networking components. Key responsibilities include translating business needs into technical edge solutions, overseeing the design and integration of edge platforms, collaborating with sales and product teams, acting as a technical advisor to clients, and ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing operation of the edge architecture. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: Solution Design and Architecture: Design and document comprehensive, scalable, and secure edge computing architectures to meet specific client and business requirements. Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise on edge technologies, including AI-enabled edge, secure edge, and distributed cloud, serving as a subject matter expert. Customer Engagement & Sales Support: Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs, deliver technical presentations, propose solutions, and conduct proofs of concept (POCs). Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between sales, product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment, gather feedback, and drive product development. Implementation & Operations: Oversee the implementation of edge solutions, including configuration of networks, deployment of platforms, and automation of processes. Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic and technical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on adopting edge technologies to gain competitive advantages and achieve business objectives. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Journeyman: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired Technical Depth: Strong experience in designing and building infrastructure solutions, including areas like CDN, Edge Computing, networking, security, and public cloud products. Cloud & Edge Platforms: Proficiency in specific edge platforms like Google Distributed Cloud Edge (GDC Edge), GKE, and Anthos, or similar distributed cloud technologies. Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and translate business requirements into robust solutions. Leadership: Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and drive initiatives forward. Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect technology solutions to measurable business outcomes and think strategically about products and market needs.
