Position Summary The Executive Chef leads daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, food preparation, menu development, and cost control. They ensure an exceptional culinary experience for residents, employees, and guests while maintaining financial and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily culinary production ensuring food quality, presentation, and compliance with sanitation standards.
Create menu concepts and specials with seasonal ingredients.
Supervise and develop kitchen staff, setting performance standards and providing coaching.
Manage inventory, purchasing, and food storage, ensuring cost efficiency.
Maintain food safety standards and enforce health regulations.
Monitor budget, food costs, labor, and operating expenses to meet financial objectives.
Communicate with residents and staff to enhance customer satisfaction.
Business & Financial Acumen
Develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate mission.
Control food and labor costs, analyze financial data, and adjust planning.
Maintain inventory control and purchasing procedures.
Customer Service Excellence
Ensure 100% resident satisfaction through staff training and engagement.
Handle resident feedback and resolve complaints promptly.
Team Management
Lead regular staff meetings and set performance & budget goals.
Provide coaching, counseling, and development opportunities.
Maintain a fair and equitable work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
A.S. degree or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
High-volume, complex foodservice operations background.
Extensive catering and institutional cooking experience.
Hands‑on chef skills and ServSafe certification (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
