Driver Class A
is focused on loading and unloading glass and/or metal products, and reports to the General Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who is detailed, organized, and a self-starter. A vital member of the Driving Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. Job responsibilities include: Handle and load/unload glass and/or metal products, secure the load, make multiple deliveries, and provide excellent customer service Verify product quantities before and during delivery Promote safety by inspecting delivery sites to ensure there is a safe environment to unload by following best practices for safety Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre and post-trip inspections What we are looking for: At least 21 years old (to cross state lines) Possess a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence to operate the type of equipment the applicant will be driving Ability to obtain a medical examiner's certificate of physical qualification At least two (2) years of verifiable, incident-free CDL A driving experience Is familiar with methods and procedures for securing cargo in or on the Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Meet all DOT requirements What OBE offers you: Benefits that benefit you industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employee Work-life balance PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose Compensation that rewards your hard work A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses Training We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed Schedule - Monday through Friday (Home Daily) Dedicated Assigned Equipment OBE is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
