Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney Job Overview: A law firm based in Seattle, WA is seeking a dynamic litigation associate to join its commercial dispute resolution team. Duties: Represent clients in civil matters involving breach of contract, real estate, personal injury defense, and property disputes Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies Manage multiple matters with attention to deadlines and case milestones Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams Participate in settlement negotiations and litigation planning Requirements: 1-5 years of civil litigation experience Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research Demonstrated ability to handle a broad range of litigation matters Strong organizational and time management abilities Effective communicator with sound judgment and a collaborative mindset Admission to practice law in Washington State (required) Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications: Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association Skills: Legal analysis and persuasive writing Courtroom and deposition experience Strategic problem-solving Client relationship management Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with case management tools and legal research databases Job Location: Seattle, WA (In-person role) Benefits include a retirement savings plan with firm contributions, 401(k) with matching options, paid time off, parental leave, life insurance, disability coverage, FSA, and employee assistance programs.
