SUMMARY
The Value Added Processing Manager oversees third-party seafood processing operations across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring alignment with Northline's quality, throughput, and sustainability standards. This role is accountable for real-time vendor management, contract adherence, and accurate ERP integration of production data. The ideal candidate will balance executional precision with strategic foresight to ensure successful seasonal throughput and support end-to-end traceability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Manage co-processing schedules and ensure timely throughput of frozen and value-added production.
- Enforce vendor compliance with raw material specs, yield expectations, and contract terms.
- Partner with QA, Logistics, and Fulfillment teams to ensure seamless regulatory and product handoff.
- Track and respond to production KPIs such as loss rates, shrink, waste, and rework.
- Lead structured weekly reviews with each processor to assess compliance, flag risks, and identify performance improvement areas.
- Coordinate with harvest and inventory teams to pre-align capacity planning against forecasted volume.
- Own ERP data integrity (Inecta) for raw material handoff, WIP tracking, and finished goods reconciliation.
- Support seasonal onboarding and compliance of new processors, including training on documentation standards.
- Continuously optimize the co-processing network through root cause analysis and bottleneck identification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in food production or supply chain operations, with a preference for seafood sector experience.
- Proven ability to manage external manufacturing or third-party co-pack relationships.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, FDA, USDA, and BRC standards.
- Experience navigating ERP systems, with preference for Inecta or similar cloud-based platforms.
- Demonstrated capacity planning and real-time production adjustment skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building with cross-border and multicultural vendors.
- This position requires a valid US Passport, Drivers License and reliable transportation.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The employee must be able to sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee may be exposed to extreme cold and wet conditions for long periods of time. The employee must be able to physically climb multiple flights of stairs without assistance and lift up to 10 lbs without assistance.
