RCT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ISSE to join its DevSecOps team in Herndon. The engineer will ensure system security compliance and integrate DevSecOps and cloud automation practices across mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement secure architectures for systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation strategies.
  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including documentation like SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and CPs.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure security compliance.
  • Integrate security controls into the SDLC.
  • Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines with security and automation.
  • Utilize AWS tools (CloudWatch, Security Hub, GuardDuty) and log monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK).
  • Conduct security testing, audits, and assist with incident response.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging security threats and technologies.
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph (required on Day 1).
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, Security+, AWS Certified Security, etc.
  • Experience with tools like eMASS, XACTA, Nessus, ACAS.
  • Solid understanding of networking, Windows/Linux, and encryption.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
