Job Summary Summary:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 12 - 8:30 PM
The Receiving and Delivery Specialist is responsible for receiving all hospital deliveries associated with assigned PeopleSoft Purchase Order numbers. This role ensures the timely and accurate delivery of received items to designated departments and processes outbound shipments, including overnight requests via UPS, FedEx, and other couriers.
Patient Care Requirement: No
Essential Functions:
-Receive and log all incoming products into the PeopleSoft System Receiving Program. -Ensure the correct and timely delivery of all received items within 24-36 hours. -Report any delivery or receiving discrepancies to the immediate supervisor. -Direct outside carriers to deliver orders for Physician Office Suites directly, rather than having hospital staff handle these deliveries. -Restock the Stat Room inventory with newly received products. -Prepare overnight packages for delivery and ensure they are set aside for Mailroom personnel for immediate distribution. -Process outgoing shipments, ensuring that requesting departments provide all required documentation and delivery instructions. -Maintain the receiving area and dock in a clean, organized, and orderly manner. -Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or Director.
Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Experience Experience as a Receiving Clerk 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Staff adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards. - Computer literacy is helpful.
