Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, HIPAA, etc.)
• Experience with EDI mapping, translation, and transformation
• Experience in integrating EDI with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, etc.)
• Experience with SQL, XML, JSON, Java, or scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Managed File Transfer (MFT)
• Familiarity with AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTP, and VAN communication protocols
• Knowledge of business process modeling (BPML) in Sterling B2B Integrator
• Knowledge of IBM Sterling Control Center, IBM MQ, or other middleware
• Understanding of cloud-based EDI solutions and B2B integration trends
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose & resolve EDI related issues and ability to work in a 24/7 production environment
• Ability to identify & resolve data discrepancies and quality issues with EDI transactions
Roles & Responsibilities
EDI Development & Integration
• Design, develop, and implement EDI solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI)
• Develop maps, business processes, and trading partner setups
• Work with X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and flat file formats
Trading Partner Management
• Configure and onboard new trading partners
• Maintain communication protocols like AS2, SFTP, VAN, FTP, HTTP
• Troubleshoot and resolve partner connectivity issues
EDI Mapping & Transformation
• Develop and maintain EDI maps using IBM Sterling Map Editor
• Convert data between EDI formats and internal application formats
• Perform data validation and error handling
Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
• Monitor EDI transactions and troubleshoot failed processes
• Optimize business processes and workflows in Sterling B2B Integrator
• Work with logs, alerts, and error handling mechanisms
Integration & Middleware Development
• Integrate EDI transactions with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or custom applications
• Work with APIs, web services, and database connections
Compliance & Security
• Ensure compliance with EDI standards, HIPAA, and industry regulations
• Implement secure data exchange protocols and access controls
Documentation & Support
• Maintain technical documentation for EDI workflows, maps, and
• trading partner configurations
• Provide support and training for internal teams and external partners
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
Salary Range-$100,000-$165,000 a year
