Austin Children’s Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to serve our Leander, Texas team. You will provide high‑level patient care and support in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. Candidates must have prior dental‑assisting experience to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
• Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant – required
• Minimum 2 years of on‑the‑job experience
• X‑ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants must also maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
