Beverage Equipment Technician
Location: Orangeburg, SC. Pay Range: $25.28 - $30.98 per hour depending on experience. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (overtime and weekends may be required). This full‑time role serves the Orangeburg area.
Job Overview
The Beverage Equipment Technician will professionally diagnose, repair, and maintain fountains, vending machines, coolers, and other beverage dispensing equipment for Coca‑Cola Consolidated, Coca‑Cola North America, and Equipment Reutilization Solutions. You will manage tools and parts inventory, maintain records and reports, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to Company standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fountains, vending machines, coolers, and other beverage dispensing equipment to customer satisfaction, managing tools and parts and maintaining records and reports.
- Operate handheld devices to accurately log delivery, removal, and parts inventory.
- Drive safely following all motor‑vehicle laws, complete safety training, and conduct DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections as required.
- Maintain proper use and accountability of all parts, tools, supplies, and keys.
- Complete all required training and keep related documents up to date.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Comfortable driving and riding for long periods.
- Proficiency with refrigeration tools, refrigeration scales, electrical and cordless tools, general hand tools, and electronic devices.
- Experience in the electrical and/or refrigeration field.
- Ability to work inside and outside customer locations, including uncontrolled temperatures.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to 12 months of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA Level 1 Refrigeration certification (preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Certification in forklift and pallet jack operation.
- Ability to pass company certification programs for equipment repair and safety (e.g., BEST, FAST, Advanced Refrigeration).
Work Environment
Will vary – exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and non‑temperature‑controlled storage areas.
