Job Overview
Work closely with Electrical Engineers and Manufacturing to troubleshoot problems, improve quality and efficiency, and develop test fixtures to qualify a variety of harnesses, boards, and finished components. Time will be spent troubleshooting existing product lines and developing new fixtures and manufacturing processes to produce quality products efficiently and on schedule.
Job Duties
- Develop test fixtures to support manufacturing and engineering.
- Work within CAD software to document wire harnesses, design fixtures, and other designs.
- Assemble manufacturing prototypes, test fixtures, and supporting wire harnesses.
- Troubleshoot at various product levels (board, wire harness, product, system, etc.).
- Use Engineering Change Processes to enter new ECRs and execute existing ECOs, validating changes through assembly and testing when necessary.
- PCB schematic design and board layout as required to support manufacturing or testing.
- PCB prototype assembly or modification, including through‑hole and surface‑mount rework.
- Help identify and develop tests and design changes through discovery and critical thinking.
- ERP entry for electrical BOMs and production processes.
- Apply Continuous Improvement methodology to optimize testing, fixtures, production processes, and designs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 0‑5 years relevant work experience.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of electronics.
- Proficient in reading and understanding schematics and board layouts.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands‑on experience with test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, electronic loads, and oscilloscopes.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge or hands‑on experience in one or more of the following circuits: Serial Communication (RS‑232, RS‑485, RS‑422, UART, etc.).
- Understanding of Ethernet and USB protocols.
- Analog circuitry (buffering, filtering, single vs differential signaling).
- Digital circuitry (logic, microcontrollers, bus topologies).
- Power regulation and components (linear, switching, BJT vs FET).
- Motors and motor controls (brushless, brushed, quadrature encoders, etc.).
- Understanding of standardized connectors (MIL‑DTL‑38999, etc.).
- Experience with Electronic CAD Software.
- Experience with Mechanical CAD Software and 3D printing.

Pay & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 – $45.67 per hour.
