Cashier
$16-$18/hr
Full-time: 7:15am – 1:30pm or Part-time: 7:15am – 11:00am or 11:00am – 1:30pm – No weekends!
A local catering company in the Orange City, IA area is looking to hire a Part‑time or Full‑time Cashier. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for managing customer transactions, providing excellent service, and ensuring an overall positive experience. The ideal candidate should be detail‑oriented, have strong communication skills, and be able to handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter and provide assistance with their orders.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions at the register.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service role is a plus.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
