Position : Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol Driver — Fairfax, VA
You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. This position offers hands-on experience and growth opportunities, with a key role in helping deter security-related incidents at a government location.
Responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible throughout the premises, and providing outstanding customer service and communication.

What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly with problem-solving and support as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report unusual activity or security-related issues as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership. Maintain awareness of the environment and assist visitors and/or employees as permitted by site protocols. Follow established procedures for access control and monitor entry and exit points as required for the location. Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities in the event of incidents or emergencies. Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Drug screen where permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state/local regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
