SVP of Multifamily Asset Management

at a privately owned diversified investment sponsor, you will lead the strategic and financial performance of a diverse portfolio of multifamily investments including value-and core assets throughout Sunbelt markets. This role will interface with property management and owner representatives for assets owned by closed-end funds, joint ventures and Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs). This role requires a hands-on, proactive leader who can develop and execute business plans, drive operational excellence, and partner across functions to optimize value creation and long-term income growth for its investors.

The ideal candidate should be based out of Tampa, FL or any city in the in the Southeast located by a major airport.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset Business Planning:

Create and execute detailed business plans including revenue enhancement, operating efficiency, and capital improvement strategies. Provide recommendations on hold/sell timelines based on performance and market outlook. Financial Performance & Analysis:

Track and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. Manage operating budgets, reforecasts, and long-term cash flow projections. Ensure alignment with income targets (NOI, cash yield, internal rate of return). Operational Management:

Lead performance reviews with property management teams to optimize leasing, renewal strategies, rent growth, resident experience, and expense control. CapEx & Repositioning:

Oversee capital planning and value-add initiatives. Collaborate with internal or third-party construction teams to ensure projects are executed on time and on budget, with clear ROI targets. I

nvestor Reporting:

Prepare detailed performance reports for senior leadership and capital partners. Contribute to quarterly investor updates and internal investment committee reviews. Market & Asset Intelligence:

Stay on top of national and local real estate trends to inform strategic decisions and risk mitigation. Conduct competitive benchmarking and submarket analysis. Disposition Strategy:

Participate in sale planning and execution, including broker selection, underwriting, and coordination of due diligence efforts. Team Leadership:

Supervise junior asset management staff or analysts. Contribute to building a high-performance culture within the Asset Management function. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in real estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of real estate experience, with at least 10 years in multifamily operations and/or asset management Delaware Statutory Trust (DST), ; REIT or private equity real estate experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success overseeing large or multi-market multifamily portfolios, with proven value creation outcomes. Prior experience leading a team of 3-5 direct reports. Strong command of real estate financial modeling, IRR/DCF analysis, and operational KPIs. Experience working with property operations management teams, renovation programs, and asset repositioning. Familiarity with REIT structures, investor expectations, and long-term income strategies. Proficiency with real estate systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, MRI) and Excel; Argus a plus. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
