Overview
Razorfish has an immediate need for a freelancer to start ASAP and work on a 3+ month project for a leading insurance provider. Freelancers will be considered for contract extension as well as conversion to fulltime based on performance and budget. The Associate Director, Connections Strategy will lead the lifecycle marketing strategy for a leading insurance provider, driving B2B and B2C growth objectives through an omnichannel media mix, with a significant direct mail program. This role will partner with a variety of cross-functional teams and clients to deliver impactful strategies, campaigns and performance insights. This role requires comfort and expertise with all elements of direct mail and direct marketing, for which the Associate Director will drive the strategy in collaboration with project management, creative, analytics and production partners.
Responsibilities
Lead development of strategic and campaign briefs, in collaboration with the Razorfish team (account, creative) and the clients.
Collaborate with the account team on development of tactical briefs
Collaborate with the account team on development of content for ongoing communication campaigns (e.g., member e-newsletters, site content, etc.)
Collaborate with Razorfish team (account, media) on development of campaign summary reports, including leading the development of strategic insights and recommendations based on campaign performance.
Continually track trends and news (health insurance industry trends, competitive activity, digital best practices, general societal trends, etc., governmental pressures impacting consumers.) and use these trends to regularly provide thought leadership to the clients, with observations on potential implications for the business, and thought-starters on ways in which clients can/should react.
Collaborate with Razorfish and healthcare client on usability testing research for Digital projects (e.g., development/improvement of web pages, web tools, mobile apps). This includes collaborating on the development of research discussion guides, based on project objectives, moderating usability tests (UAT) with consumers in a client tool, and collaborating on research findings and reporting.
Be an active participant in client meetings, particularly annual planning meetings and bi-weekly cross-agency update meetings. Ask questions, provide POVs where appropriate, and demonstrate engagement and knowledge of the client and the category.
Act as a moderator/facilitator for brainstorming sessions with clients, including developing session guides and exercises.
Qualifications
7+ years of demonstrated excellence in CRM, direct marketing or customer engagement strategy within consulting or agency environments
Strong experience in, and knowledge of, the health insurance industry
Strong experience in CRM, and knowledge of CRM principles
Ability to run desk research and create category/consumer insights decks using references from syndicated sources (e.g., Mintel, Forrester, Pew, mail competitive data sets, eMarketer, etc.) as well as via other competitive data sets, to make strategic recommendations to clients
Ability to craft conceptual lifecycle journeys for newly enrolled consumer healthcare plan members, to build engagement and retention; as well as with new admins adopting employer plans
Strong experience in both digital (Paid SEM, Paid Digital, Paid Social, CTV/Video) as well as non-digital media channels, particularly direct mail, as well as television, radio/audio projects, etc.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative research tools and techniques, particularly in qualitative (moderating, discussion guide development, etc.)
Familiarity with digital marketing best practices and current state-of-the-art in digital marketing, particularly social media, DDR ads, digital search, website design, and app design.
Strong ability to craft both campaign and tactical creative briefs to drive outstanding concept work that can succeed with both consumer campaigns (Open Enrollment, Special Enrollment, Dental, vision or even travel insurance) as well as with B2B / Group administrators in HR/Benefits roles
Ability to assess creative concepts for being on brand and on strategy against the assignment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills

Compensation Range: $62 - $90 per hour. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
