Job Description The Procurement Contract Manager acts as the lead and point of escalation for Customer Energy Management contracts, ensuring best contracting practices and compliance with corporate policies. This role involves leadership responsibilities and oversight of complex and critical categories of goods and services. Tasks include analysis, development, negotiation, administration of contracts, dispute resolution, and monitoring compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead the procurement contracting process for Customer Energy Management.
Ensure contracts adhere to best practices and corporate policies.
Maintain contract oversight for complex and critical categories of goods and services.
Analyze, develop, negotiate, and administer contracts.
Resolve disputes and monitor compliance with contract terms.
Drive negotiation strategy with internal customers.
Foster coordination with other procurement functions.
Maintain professional relationships with client suppliers.
Collaborate with the Customer Energy Management team and contract owners.
Promote and support a culture of total safety.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations.
Commit to conducting business honestly and ethically.
Essential Skills
Contract management, redlining, and contract review expertise.
10+ years of experience in Procurement, Contract Management, or related fields.
Experience with customer energy and service contracts.
Experience with legislatively mandated energy savings.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent knowledge of contracting concepts and commercial law.
Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risk.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present complex topics effectively to broad audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Strong customer service, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, supply management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with eProcurement Source‑to‑Pay tools, especially Ariba.
Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools.
Understanding of procurement governance, processes, and policies.
Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
Previous people management or coaching experience is a plus.
Experience in a regulated industry is desirable.
Work Environment Hybrid work environment with a mix of remote and in‑office work. The role requires collaboration across various teams and levels of management, utilizing modern office technologies and software tools.
