Overview
Director of Enterprise Risk & Incident Management At the Indiana University Foundation (IUF), we are seeking a forward-thinking Director of Enterprise Risk & Incident Management to help ensure that our organization—and the mission it supports—remains resilient, prepared, and strong. As the first full-time strategic architect of IUF’s enterprise risk and incident management framework, you’ll build upon existing efforts to design and lead comprehensive programs that safeguard the Foundation’s operations, people, and reputation. Responsibilities
Lead the Incident Response Team, foster a culture of preparedness through engaging training and simulations, and communicate clearly in moments that matter most. Drive the continued development of risk identification and mitigation strategies across departments, strengthen continuity and emergency planning, and coordinate incident response efforts to ensure organizational readiness. Advise leadership and the board of directors on critical risk issues; partner with Indiana University leaders to align IUF’s preparedness strategy with the university’s broader initiatives. Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with personal computers, spreadsheets, word processing, report writing, and database software used for incident response situations. Interpersonal skills and judgment suitable for exercising appropriate discretion and demeanor when dealing with employees, Board members, and the public. Strong organizational skills required. Must be able to exercise excellent judgment in the handling of confidential information. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Above average written and verbal communication skills. Crisis communication skills preferred. Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, Emergency Management, Public Safety, or a related field. 7 years’ experience with building security, incident management, or enterprise risk. Enterprise Risk Management or Incident Response Certifications preferred. Combinations of related education and experience will be considered. Additional Information
This position will be posted through at least November 12th, 2025. A cover letter expressing your interest is recommended. The salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000 annually and is based out of our Bloomington, Indiana location with occasional travel to our Indianapolis location.
