A prestigious international law firm is seeking a
Senior Billing Coordinator
to join its finance team in DC. This role is ideal for a seasoned billing professional with strong experience in legal invoicing, account analysis, and team mentorship. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple complex billing projects across diverse client portfolios. Review outstanding balances and proactively address billing discrepancies. Prepare client invoices and internal documentation with appropriate backup. Coordinate billing efforts with attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. Respond to inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders with professionalism and clarity. Mentor and train junior billing staff; provide guidance and support across the department. Step into a leadership role during supervisor absences and assist with workflow coordination. Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records for partners and clients. Contribute to process improvements and departmental goals. Qualifications Bachelor Degree Completed Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience, including account analysis. Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or 3E) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience mentoring or training team members is a plus.
