We are seeking a visionary Staff Machine Learning Engineer to architect, lead, and scale next-generation machine learning systems with a focus on graph neural networks (GNNs), generative AI, and advanced optimization for commercial, logistics, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in both the science and engineering of modern AI, with a proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining critical infrastructure and applications that transform business outcomes at scale. This role is pivotal in shaping Anheuser-Busch InBev’s global technology strategy, driving innovation across commercial investment, logistics, brewing, and personalization domains. Anheuser-Busch InBev is the world’s leading beer company, uniting US and Global tech organizations to automate and optimize commercial planning, logistics, and execution. We are prioritizing engineering and scientific excellence to build a more tech-forward future. This role is a cornerstone of our global tech org, filling a critical gap in advanced machine learning leadership—especially in areas where traditional approaches have reached their limits and new paradigms such as graph neural networks and generative AI are required. You will lead the design and implementation of foundational AI infrastructure and applications, upskill and mentor teams, and directly impact the company’s ability to optimize investments, logistics, brewing operations, and customer personalization at a global scale. ROLE DETAIL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect and Lead Advanced ML Systems:
Design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade machine learning infrastructure, with a focus on graph neural networks, generative AI, and custom optimization algorithms.
Drive Innovation in Commercial Optimization:
Lead the development of advanced models for investment optimization, including cannibalization detection and revenue lift estimation, leveraging graphical and causal inference techniques.
Logistics and Operations Optimization:
Modernize and optimize logistics, routing, and forecasting systems using GNNs and state-of-the-art ML frameworks (e.g., DGL, PyTorch Geometric).
Brewing Process Optimization:
Pioneer the use of AI and graph-based models to optimize brewing operations, including hydraulic flow and process digitization.
Commercial Optimization:
Demonstrated ability to optimize commercial investment decisions by recommending high ROI investment opportunities vs cutting low impact ones, as measured via custom hierarchical regression modeling.
