Labor and Employment Attorney | Remote in California
Position: Labor and Employment Attorney
Work Setting: Fully Remote / Hybrid possible
About the Firm: Our client is a mission‑driven law firm devoted to protecting workers’ rights, ensuring fair labor practices, and promoting workplace equity.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in courts, administrative agencies (e.g., Department of Labor, EEOC, California Labor Commissioner), arbitration, and mediation on labor/employment matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour violations, wrongful termination, leave laws, etc.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, notices, etc.; conduct depositions and hearings.
Provide legal advice and counseling on employment laws (FLSA, California Labor Code, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
Assist clients in evaluating claims, determining strategy, exploring resolution options (settlement, mediation, trial).
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admitted in good standing to the California State Bar.
Substantial experience (typically 3–5+ years) litigating labor and employment matters in California and/or federal courts or before administrative bodies.
Salary and Compensation The annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $300,000. Factors affecting pay include geography, skills, education, and experience.
1–3 years: $140k to $180k base
4+ years: $180k to $300k base
