About the Position The Corporate Affairs Department, part of the Strategic Bank Services Division, provides governance and executive support, communication and government relations, strategy and risk, and human resources services to Bank stakeholders. The Executive Assistant to the First Vice President / COO supports the President/CEO, First Vice President/COO, and senior executives, and includes the Office of the Corporate Secretary and Chief of Staff functions.

Executive Assistant to the First Vice President / COO This critical role delivers high‑level administrative support and serves as the first point of contact for the Office of the First Vice President/COO. The EA maintains discretion, strategic thinking, a customer‑experience mindset, and strong organizational, communication, and technological skills to manage priorities and advance the Bank’s strategy.

Responsibilities

Understand daily, near‑term, and annual priorities of the Bank and the Office, and work to ensure the priorities of the Office are met.

Summarize and manage large volumes of internal and external correspondence, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to all relevant stakeholders.

Drive innovation within the role, leveraging new tools such as AI and other technology solutions.

Partner with the Chief of Staff and Public Information Officer to handle communications for all contact with the Office, aligned with the First Vice President/COO’s and the Bank’s priorities.

Manage the strategic schedule of the First Vice President/COO, balancing senior‑executive needs and customer‑experience goals.

Coordinate complex travel arrangements and execute reimbursement processes.

Ensure all materials prepared are comprehensive, accurate, and consistent in tone, version control, style, and grammar.

Assist the First Vice President/COO with a wide array of activities related to Bank initiatives and Federal Reserve System committee work.

Maintain contacts to support relationships with civic and business leaders on behalf of the Bank.

Support event coordination, including the coordination of internal staff and external contacts for speeches and public appearances.

Coordinate all matters with the broader senior‑executive support team, ensuring follow‑through on Bank issues and objectives.

Expectations and Requirements

Position does not require direct supervision of others.

Minimum of 5 years of senior executive support experience; certifications and experience with AI integrated tools is a plus.

Highly detail‑oriented and able to handle competing priorities.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.

Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and generate effective, innovative solutions.

Proven record of exceptional business judgment, flexibility, and integrity.

Exemplary relationship‑building and diplomacy skills.

Other Requirements

Eligibility to work in the United States and eligibility for security clearance, requiring the candidate to be a U.S. citizen.

Residency in the First District within commuting distance of the office; position requires on‑site work.

Salary The salary range for this position is $97,700 – $145,100, based on applicant background and market data.

The first phase includes a physical examination, drug screening, reference checks, and a credit and criminal history check. The second phase may include additional risk‑based screening, residency verification, and personal interviews.
