Backend Software Engineer – AI Middleware & Workflow Automation
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote:
Hybrid (3 days a week)
Duration:
24 months
Rate Range:
Up to $92.5/hr on W2
Work Authorization:
GC, USC, All valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B
Must Have
Java or Python (TypeScript/Node.js experience a strong plus)
Strong backend engineering experience (Spring Boot or Node)
AI integration experience using LLMs, APIs, or agentic workflow tools (LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Anthropic)
Cloud-native systems with AWS and Kubernetes
Experience building or integrating workflow automation across applications
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK)
Responsibilities
Design, build, and integrate AI-powered middleware and workflows across the digital supply chain applications.
Leverage foundational AI models into enterprise workflows — not model training, but practical integration.
Collaborate across engineering teams to create workflow orchestration layers that unify multiple studio applications.
Develop new services and capabilities as part of the studio’s next-generation supply chain rebuild initiative.
Build scalable backend services in Java, Python, or Node.js, with attention to reliability, observability, and governance.
Participate in sprint planning, standups, and cross-functional design discussions, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
5+ years of backend software engineering experience (Java, Python, or Node.js).
Experience with AI integration, agentic workflows, or LLM SDKs (LangChain, Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
Hands‑on experience in AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and event‑driven systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
Strong understanding of API design, workflow automation, and system scalability.
Excellent communication skills with a proactive, collaborative approach suited for fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.
(Preferred) Experience within media supply chain or content localization environments.
