Overview
Mammographer, Full Time-$15,000 Sign on Bonus at Boston Medical Center (BMC) Under general supervision of the Manager of Breast Imaging, the Mammography technologist provides mammography technical skills to the department mission. Duties include working as a technologist and performing duties in other areas or modalities as necessary. The Mammography technologist performs mammography exams for diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury in patients of all ages. Responsibilities
Provide mammography examinations in accordance with department policies and patient care standards. Collaborate with the imaging team to ensure high-quality diagnostic images and patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients to address apprehensions and provide clear instructions. May supervise staff technologists and support students as appropriate. Qualifications
Two years post-high school training in an approved school of Radiologic Technology MSRT/ARRT (M) required State Radiology/mammography license required and all applicable Radiology/mammography education requirements Knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and operation/maintenance of radiologic equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and staff Additional Information
