Under general supervision, operate digital radiological imaging equipment in accordance with Title 17 regulations and departmental protocols. Perform and oversee quality control procedures and ensure adherence to all radiation safety principles and practices. Scrub, monitor, and circulate during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the OR Hybrid Room. Assist nursing staff in preparing patients for procedures; ensure proper functioning of imaging and interventional equipment; demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy and hemodynamic monitoring. Record procedural events, perform hemodynamic calculations, operate digital processing equipment, and maintain quality control standards. Participate in performance improvement activities; assist with patient transportation as needed; fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
California Radiology Technologist - Fluoroscopy (CRT-F). Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)). BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within six months of hire date. Two years minimum experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Knowledge of computers and new technology (CR and DR). Working knowledge of Radiology Information System (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS). Training in another modality for cross coverage during normal or unexpected staffing issues. Ability to deal tactfully with people and develop good working relationships. Preferred Qualifications
One year of Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology scrub experience. Special Conditions
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and call; overtime may be necessary for staffing issues. Employment is subject to criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Must be able to wear lead apron. Compensation and Compliance
