A Typical Day… As you inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, you’ll build client relationships that grow stronger every year. Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, Experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training to be successful. Pay attention to individual responsibilities and expectations as you pursue this role. Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email). Prepare complete and accurate tax returns. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support. All certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation. Mentor and support teammates. Complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment as required. Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; experience completing individual returns. Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively in person, by phone and in writing. Meet IRS and applicable state requirements; have a high school diploma or equivalent or higher. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred). CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred). Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership). 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax. Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and tax planning/audit support. Sales and/or marketing experience (preferred). Why work for us

The pay range for this position is $11.00 - $80.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits described above. National City, CA; Spring Valley, CA – available locations.
